Actually just the opposite is true. MacOS X will feature BSD 4.4 UNIX on
top of a heavily customized Mach microkernel, based on the 3.0 and 4.0
releases of Mach. It will also feature preemptive multitasking, memory
protection and advanced virtual memory.

It's scheduled to be available in the Fall of next year.
