Kenny,

I suspect this is a copy protection mechanism in Virtual PC. It probably retains information about the computer/hard drive it was originally installed onto and assumes it has been illegally copied if these details are changed. I had the same problem when I replaced my computer and transfered all my applications over to the new machine. Try the following:

1) Relocate all your hard drive images etc for your existing copy of VPC
2) Delete all the preferences for VPC (from the Preferences folder in the System folder)
3) Reinstall Virtual PC from the original CD
4) Go through registration and setup steps
5) Replace the newly installed drive images with your original ones

Make sure your existing VPC setup is completely backed up before trying this.

Ralph.
