Create a shared Macintosh volume on your NT server. When NT makes this, it
calls it by default "Microsoft UAM Volume." If you look inside this
"Microsoft UAM Volume" you will see an "AppleShare Folder" which contains a
thing called "MS UAM" and ReadMe file, which basically explains that you
take the MS UAM and put it into the AppleShare folder in the System folder
of the macs, and then you can force the mac cllients to connect using
Microsoft authentication.

I don't feel like that was very lucid; in fact Microsoft's ReadMe might even
be clearer...

Anyway that enables "Microsoft Enctyption" of the passwords, whatever that
is.

To require Mac users to use this Microsoft Encryption, go to your NT server,
to Control Panel/MacFile/Attributes and check the "require Microsoft
Authentication" box.
