[WinMac] Virtual PC and dynamic data exchange?

Good day:

I use the dde feature in Windows 95/NT to exhange data between
Excel/Access and SAS. I can do virtually everything in the Mac version of
SAS as on Windows, except dde.

I recently purchased Virtual PC 2.0 to run Office 97 on my Mac. Although
I'm bummed about no Excel converter for Mac to read Excel97 files, I can
live with it.

I'm wondering if anyone on the list has experience using dde or ODBC on a
Virtual PC environment on the Mac.

TIA
