Mike,

Don't flip a coin, buy Dell. Their customer service is much, much better
than Gateway. Read the reader surveys in various publications. Dell is
always at the top (with Apple, FHIW), while Gateway is in the middle. We
have a variety of computers around here, and recently received a DOA
Dell. They replaced it with no argument. This is the first DOA Dell I've
seen since their infamous notebook debacle a few years ago.
