Assuming you are using a reasonably recent system that recognized the
monitor when it was being installed, the 1710 convergence is in
software, don't go digging around inside it. Open the Monitors & Sound
CP, choose the geometry option and there is a convergence... button in
the upper right hand corner. Puts up a three color grid with
instructions. If you were using a different monitor when you installed
the system, you may have to re-install Monitors & Sound to get the
system to recognize the 1710. There's several versions of that CP which
fit different mac/monitor combinations.

If that won't adjust correctly, then it's time for the shop to work on
it.
