I am the guy who was asking for help connecting HP400N printer to a Novell
Network using Mac Client 5.11. A few of you asked me too let you know if
and when I found a solution. Turns out that Novell doesn't like the
LaserWriter 8.5.1 driver. The Mac doesn't like the HP4000N driver, (Novell
didn't like the LaserWriter 8.4.3 either), a very unhappy neighborhood.
Along comes the Adobe 8.5.1 PostScript driver and everyone is happy. Yup
that's what fixed the problem. We now have our printer on the network and
can control the queue. We can now set student accounts so they have to log
into the Novell Network.
