I've encountered the same binary dumps in Netscape which happens with
certain sites and/or files.
But i've discovered that after the page has completed downloading, doing
a Save As in Text format will produce a file which is usually usable. If
its a Mac file with .hqx, .bin or .sit extensions, Stuffit Expander will
extract and expand the file(s) correctly. If its a PC file or archive,
i've been able to use them on a PC or VPC.
Hope this is useful.
