Windows has system level redirection and that what makes it so great for
networking. I whish the Mac could do the same.
I have several Macs connected to a NT server in a mixes windows/mac lab.
I wrote a login script using MountVolume and a few other OSAXen. This
gives access to the individual folder that mounts as a volume. The
script is saved as run-only, that is it cannot be modified, and does
some machine level checking that prevent it to run on other Macs. Also,
wrote a script that launches Eudora light and accesses the Eudora folder
in that volume (Mail Drop, an IMAP e-mailer) may be better for a
student.
I can make it available to those interested.
