Subject: List Request...

Hi Folks:
I'm brand new (also saw the link in TidBITS), and I have digest mode
enabled; but at the rate things are going, my hard drive is going to be
full within a month :) I'd like to humbly request that if anyone
replies to a previous message, that you quote only enough text so that
your answer makes sense. If we all quote the entire text of every
message we reply to, it doubles or triples the size of the digests.
Forgive me if this sounds ridiculously self-centered :)

Moderator note: This is just good netiquette, and with some particularly
technical questions the replies can and do get out of hand. If possible
quote only what is necessary to maintain the context of the thread.

Here in the academic departments I support, we have very few servers and
a minority of PCs. To allow the PCs to print to our AppleTalk printers,
we just have COPSTalk 2.5 installed on them, which adds an AppleTalk
client to Windows95 and works great. Soon we'll be installing some
NetWare 4.11 servers, which seem to have the best combination of
cross-platform availability, robustness, and ease of management, for
printing and-
"ooo-aahhh"-file services. A new NetWare client for Macs is reportedly
on the way, as well as NetWare 5 (which finally is multithreaded). Any
NetWare administrators have some stories to share?
