I was wondering if Windows 2k Pro support AppleTalk printing services.

    Here is my scenario:

We have NT/2000 RIP sfw. for prepress.
We usually install on server version of above OSs and clients create Mac
volumes that are "hot folders" and are monitored by our RIP sfw. for
    incoming files.

However, to reduce costs, I was wondering if I could just use Windows 2000
Pro and since our sfw. also supports Shared Printers, our RIP could create a
printer that would be seen in the Apple Chooser as a LaserWriter device.
Mac workstations would then print directly to this printer via the Chooser.

Alternatively, could one of the Win 2003 (non server) versions also be used
    in this fashion?

I have only installed RIPs using the Win2K server versions and as such am
    not familiar with win2K Pro.

If there are any questions or comments, please feel free to email me
    directly.

    Thanx in advance.
