If the software being used now creates .pdf files they should be viewable
on a mac right now. If you are running OS X any file that can be printed
can be made into a .pdf by selecting the output option in the print
dialogue and outputting to a file. If you end up burning on a Mac then
choose ISO 9660 hybrid Mac/PC and PCs will be able to read them,
providing you don't save sessions but discs. Mac software will let you
save several sessions to a CD and each session will mount on the desktop
as a separate CD. On PCs I believe it's only the last session that show
up (only one, anyway, may be the first one.)
