System

* SoHo LAN (mixed Mac, PC)
* Gateway machine (7500) sharing cable connection via IPNetRouter
* Lombard 333 PowerBook (OS 9.2.2, WaveLAN card)
* Desktop PC (Windows 2000, WaveLAN card in PCI adaptor)

The plan was to make the desktop PC a software base station so I
could lounge about with the PowerBook.

But before I did that I thought I would try it the other way around
(PowerBook is the base station.)

* PowerBook AirPort Software Base Station set up
* PC WaveLAN client setup and working (see's the base station)
* PC Network Settings set to "Obtain IP / DNS Automatically" (as per
AirPort notes)

What have I missed here?

Any advice warmly welcomed!
