Ah! I think this is your problem. You don't specify shares when
connecting via afp, only smb.

The /at forces an AppleTalk connection instead of the default ASIP.

Here's what comes up when I browse to a server in my house called
"Engineering in the AppleTalk Zone "Workshop":

afp:/at/Engineering:Workshop

You connect to the server, authenticate, and THEN it gives you a list
of volumes from which to choose (based on who you are and what you
have access to on that server).

I THINK that's all right.
