Thanks for all the replies! A bit more info. Yes, I have appletalk
turned on and using my ethernet connection. I have SFM installed and
operating, even added routing and have it seeding the network. I am
attempting to connect using "afp://computername/sharename".
Unfortunately, when I setup SFM originally, I accepted the default
name of "Microsoft UAM Volume" for the share. I have tried replacing
the spaces with underscores as I saw in one article, and with %20 as
I got from a Knowledgebase Article. Neither method has worked. Also,
why does my connection always try to come up with
"afp:/at/server/share"? All the documents I have seen suggest the
form used here instead. One more note, I cannot find appletalk listed
anywhere in the network settings control panel under protocols. Could
this be a problem? I have it configured, and my OS9 computers see it
seeding the net with the default zone "oz". This machine was working
fine under OS9, but doesn't like OSX, for networking. Can I connect
to a SFM volume using smb? I thought that was strictly for windows.
Thanks for all of your help. Oh, and I have tried creating a new
share on the server, I called it 4Steve, to forestall the space
problems, but so far no go.

Cordially,

Steven Thomas
