   (I posted this originally on mac-mgrs@lists.mac-mgrs.org, and was
encouraged to also ask here.)

   We are investigating replacing SFM on a Win2000 server with either
MacServerIP from Cyan or ExtremeZ-IP from GroupLogic.

   Speed is a concern, but it very much takes a back-seat to stability, low
CPU loading, correctly dealing with privileges set by the Windows admin
system, etc.

   Primary application is hosting a SourceSafe database which consists of
over 140,000 individual files (yes, that's how SS works... ai carumba).
The server provides these services to a couple dozen Windows clients and a
handful of MacOS X clients.

   I browsed many sites on Google and have seen some negative feedback about
MacServerIP in particular, but would like more up to date, fresh information
contrasting the two products.

   (first post, hope I followed the spirit of the list charter)
