Rick,

I'm forwarding to you some material that recently appeared on H-Mac
in response to a similar inquiry from another (also High School) I-T.

also... I have a relative, a guidance counselor at a high school
near Chattanooga, who hates Macintosh with passion. She, apparently
like many of your colleagues, bases her opinion on trying to use
1995-1996 model computers in a 2001-2002 world. She tells me that
she's so "thankful" that her school "trashed" Macintosh and replaced
them with DELLs. Of course, who wouldn't be thankful with replacing
7100 Macs with any 2001 platform-- Mac or Windows?

Your school could save a money by investing in the new "Apple Cart"
approach to computer laboratories. That is, purchasing an Apple Cart
loaded with 16 to 20 laptops... an Airport Base Station and a
printer... all for about 25-thousand -- then, any classroom can be a
laboratory... all one needs do is to roll the Apple Cart into the
classroom, handout the iBook computers, and compute away.
