    --- I've been seeing the same problem on some of my Win2000 Servers. Some always appear in the Chooser without fail, but others randomly will not reappear after a reboot. I've tried re-naming, un-installing then re-installing, etc. Nothing seems to fix it reliably. Occasionally another re-boot might bring it back.

    Microsoft's support site has a Knowledge Base article on the subject. Go to http://support.microsoft.com/directory/ and search for article Q253174.

     Microsoft seems to imply that this is normal behavior and offer no remedy, other than to suggest typing in the IP address of the server you desire. It's funny, before switching over to Win2000 Server I heard about how much better its Macintosh support was than NT4. I'm not impressed.
