    Greetings.

We've had an NT print server (Name: Kronos) in place for three years
now. It runs NT Server 4 (SP6+). While its chief role is to provide
print services to Windows users on campus, it also services our Mac
labs. It has performed reasonably flawlessly for years.

When the students came back this year we got socked with another
round of FunLove. It has the nasty side effect of generating rogue,
unprintable, "Remote Downlevel Documents" on Kronos. (The silver
lining in that cloud is that by tracking down the owner of the jobs,
we know who has the virus!)

Anyhoo, Kronos was ticking along all well and good until yesterday
afternoon when Mac jobs stopped printing. Any attempt to print from
a Mac (or even perform an "auto setup") results in an error message
on the Mac and a mysterious print job on Kronos that is nameless,
ownerless, and is in a perpetual state of "spooling". The only way
to kill them is to stop/start the Print Server for Macintosh Service.

Long about this time I noticed that I could NOT gracefully reboot
Kronos. It core dumped every time. Given that Macs were the only
ones having problems, I removed SFM. All of a sudden I could reboot
properly! I then reinstalled SFM and reapplied SP6+hotfix and I
    still can't print from Macs.

Help! Has anyone seen/dealt with this before?

    Lost and desperate,
    ...ROMeyn
