Starting with the Powerbook 100, Apple has generally provided a means
to connect the PowerBook to another Mac, so that the PowerBook will
appear as an external hard disk on the other computers desktop. Is
there a way one can do this in the Wintel world? In particular, we
would like to connect an IBM ThinkPad to a desktop PC, and have the
ThinkPad appear and function as an external hard disk on a desktop
PC. Can this be done? And how does one go about doing it? Might one
be able to do something similar between a ThinkPad and a Mac running
Virtual PC? Or, perhaps even without the intervention of VPC?

    Thanks.
