Next message: Jerry Flatto: "RE: [WinMac] Web Devil for windows"
I've been looking for a program that has the features of Web Devil for the
Macintosh (a program that downloads web sites). The Wintel programs I've
tried do not recreate the links between the files for off-line viewing.
Because sharing the downloaded web sites is my objective, off-line viewing
is key.
Internet explorer is not much of an option for me because I'm running NT 4,
SP 5. I'm not in control of this OS, and so I cannot create a temporary
files directory that I can share with my co-workers (I don't have the proper
permissions, and most of the people I ask about changing the permissions ask
me what a permission is).
Also, I've come across the added problem in that many web sites are now
database driven. If anyone has some insight into how to get such web sites
downloaded I would appreciated it.
Thanks,
Vic
