    Installed Dave.

It could not be seen from any 98 box until we added a M$WhyTooKay
to the workgroup, then presto, all was well. Take away the Y2K,
Dave vanishes on all Network Neighborhoods. The other 98 boxi
    still see each other.

But browse or not, the 98's could still mount the Dave filesystem.
Find also showed Dave as there.

If you have a Y2K, it becomes the BrowseMaster but that does not
explain this...why should a Y2K Browsemaster notice Dave but not
    98's???

Thursby & I fiddled with things, one of which was renaming the
Dave'd G4 server to a NAMEWITHNOSPACEINIT. Something solved it,
    because it was then visible.

Now there's a file permissions issue on the Dave folder,
    but I'll figure that out.

    Next adventure: Retrospect!
