Need advice on adding PC's to a Mac lab.

Hi all,
I need some advice regarding our mac lab (14-7200/8600) which
will now have six Dell Dimension XPS 233 MHZ 160 Mb ram PCs added to
it. All will feed into a Cisco 2900 series 10/100 switch with an HP
2100TN printer. The dells have 95 on them but the desire is to run
2000 pro and set up a 2000 server on another Dell. The problem is
this.

I have always worked in mac labs and have virtually no
experience with PC's. So the first thing I need is some advice on
what resources a Mac guy can use to bring himself up to speed on how
PC's work/network and how to set up and adminster Win 2000 server. Or
simply put, how to become a Mac/PC guy instead of a Mac guy only. I'm
sure other mac lab staff have gone through this transition and am
hoping to get some pointers from their experiences.

Secondly, how can you secure the PC's so that students won't
be able to change settings, install programs etc.? I saw a web page
from, I think, Romeyne Prescott ( I hope that's spelled right or at
least close) regarding securing PC's in a lab but I can't find it.

Anyway, I hope someone can give me some direction in this new
endeavor. As always, thanks for you help. MVK
