Next message: Jason Sellers: "[WinMac] Bulk Processing of JPG Images"
Hi all
We do a lot of PDF creation on the Mac for viewing on Windows and Macs. We
have one workflow that does not work 100% - if we send a Mac-created PDF
from one of our PC-based email applications to a Mac - sometimes it will
arrive, still with its icon, but suffixed .dat instead of .pdf and the file
is rendered useless.
I have yet to pin down whether this is occurring with particular Macs or
random Macs, but, although rare, its not restricted to one client.
I assume this is different to the 7-bit/8-bit corruption that is resolved by
binhex encoding. Is the PCs standard encoding (Base64) interfering? If so,
why, when he sends the same PDF across the room to my Mac, does the problem
not re-occur?
TIA
