We have a Windows 2000 server set up with drop boxes for our faculty.
Students with PCs can drop files into the drop boxes with no problems
however, students with Macs can drop some files into the drop boxes but
will get the "you do not have enough permissions" error when they try
    other files.
Also students who have Macintosh machines can not access some of their own
folders (On The Server) if they try accessing folders from any PC logged
    into the domain.

I suspect that the problem is caused when Mac users create files in a Mac
volume on the server, but not all of the instances could have been caused
this way. On the server under permissions I have seen these boxes but left
    them unchecked:

{} Allow Inheritable permissions from parent to propagate to this object

{} Reset permissions on all child objects and enable propagation of
    inheritable permissions

Could selecting one or both of these boxes solve the permissions problem?

    Thanks
    Jeff Thomas
