Well, from looking at this page,

revision. They list iMac as not working but I they think really mean that
it won't work on the current iMacs (Indigo, Ruby, etc.). I know there are
people running OS X Server on the older iMacs.
If the ROM is the problem, you probably can't boot the cube using the OS X
Server CD. If the ROM is the only problem, you could try putting the cube's
hard drive in another machine (preferably something similar, like a G4 w/
AGP), install OS X Server on it, grab a newer ROM file (may need to come
from an OS X Public Beta) and put the drive back in the cube. Since it
sounds like you're considering ordering the Cube, you'll probably want to
ask around to find out if someone has successfully put it on any one of the
new models from this summer.
