            Rick:

Win2k/AS is the Advanced Server flavor of Windows 2000.

    Win2k - Professional workstation - up to 2 CPU's
    Win2k - Server server - up to 4 CPU's
    Win2k - Advanced Server server - up to 8(?) CPU's, clustering
    Win2k - Datacenter server - up to 32 CPU's

Starting with Win2k Server and up, Services For Macintosh (SFM) is
inclused. In NT & 2000, SFM gives you the AppleTalk stack; plus in Win2k it
gives you AFP/IP (Apple Filing Protocol over IP) for improved speed.

If relibility is of concern, then I wouldn't use AppleShare IP as a file
server: You probably have a pretty darned good Win2k cluster, so if you
configure it properly for Mac connectivity then you'll have a robust server.

            Cheers!
            Dan
