            It depends on the version of AppleShare Server you are running. Basically,
    you need to ensure that SMB is running on the AppleShare IP server; and if
    so you need to be patched to version 6.3.1 - Anything earlier and SMB
    (Server Message Block) doesn't work. It's a free upgrade from 6.x to 6.3.1;
    but to run it it MUST ride on top of System 9 (preferably system 9.0.4).

            My suggestion: Run Win2k/AS on a good piece of hardware and use it as the
    central storage point for both the Macs and PC's.

            Cheers!
            Dan
