I installed Windows 2000 Advanced Server on my Pentium 3/450. I can print fine to my Apple Personal Laserwriter, and my Macs can connect to the Appleshare fileserver on my PC. How do I access volumes on an Appleshare fileserver on my Mac from the PC? How do I get an Appleshare fileserver to appear in my Network Neighborhood, like it used to with PC Maclan on Win 98?

Also, why is it about 10 times slower to connect to a Win2000 Appleshare server than a Mac Appleshare server? I'm connecting from a 7100/G3 266, OS 7.6.1, 72MB RAM to a Pentium 3/450 192MB RAM running Win2K vs. a Supermac C500, OS 8.6, 48MB RAM. Is this normal, or is something wrong with my PC?

BTW, I like Windows 2000 so much more than Win 98. It's only crashed twice in 46 days! Win 98 crashed every other hour until it finally said "Failed to read from Drive C." It couldn't boot up since my Windows directory was corrupted. I had to buy another hard disk to recover my files.

I'm so glad I found this list!

    Thanks,

    Daniel
