Dell and Kensington can't help, so ....
I have an Inspiron 7500 laptop with Win/98. It has a trackpad built in. I
am using it in a Dell dock with a Kensington 4-button trackball and a 17"
monitor. I have a few issues:
1. The Kensington software doesn't see the trackball so I can't configure
it. I've reinstalled the software multiple times with no change.
2. Changes to mouse speed and monitor frequency don't 'stick' across
reboots. I have to reset them every time I restart the machine. I finally
made aliases on my desktop.
3. I cannot change my mouse from default to left handed. The radio button
on the mouse control panel is dimmed out and the Kensington application has
no effect.
Thanks!
