            OK, the black button on the ethernet NIC is actually the reset button...
    You have to press and hold the button for 5 seconds.

            Also, try to ping the IP address of the NIC to see if it's not a bad cable
    - Remember, 90% of LAN problems go back to the physical wiring! :(
