I've been told my video board is dying, even though this persistent
problem has not changed over the course of the last month. Does anyone
have a second opinion?
On a Mac 5500/225 all in one (monitor & computer) the monitor is dimmer
than the others in my lab and has a larger black border on both the top
and the bottom of the visible display. I have zapped the PRAM and
compared all the display settings with other identical computers in the
lab. The dimness improves a bit if I adjust the brightness even though
the other identical computers do not need this same adjustment. If I
swap logic boards with another computer the problem still persists in
the original computer.
Any opinions will be appreciated,
