No. The current Mac version of Office is Office 98. Microsoft has
promised a new version of Office for the Macintosh in the second half
of this year. It is possible to run Office 2000, and most other PC
software, on the Mac using emulation software such as Virtual PC.

Office 98 (Mac) files are compatible with Office 97 and Office 2000
(PC). There's a handful of features in the 2000 versions that are not
supported by 98, so in a small percentage of cases there might be
minor problems. If you're doing foreign language work, you may run
into some font issues, but nothing that can't be overcome--in fact
few popular programs offer better Unicode support than Word.

    Good luck,
    Michael
