        Analog VOM (Volt-Ohmmeter). Look for more than 35 ohms, and less than
about 50 ohms.

        Better solution: Replace it with twisted pair. Really. Exception: Going
between buildings (ground loops) - Use fiber; or when you need over 110
yards distance - Then you still need 10Base-5 or fiber. But coax for
ethernet is a DOG!
