Well, NT5 is a lot better than NT4 with respect to power management API's.

If this were me, I would try to sit tight and get a released version,
since it was released to manufacturing (RTM) 2 weeks ago; and will be in
the distribution channels in February.

If her situation requires NT4 on her laptop - Without the power management
API's - then shel'll do best to back up her data and reinitialize her hard
drive, because the MoveFile API in NTFS is different, i.e she'll not be
able to use Diskeeper to defrag her drive once NT5 is installed.

IMHO, her best bet is to sit tight with her NT5 beta RC3 until Win2k
hologram edition can be installed.

        Just my 2 cents...

        Cheers!
