[WinMac] Retrograding WinNT (2000 -> 4.0)

Hi!

I have a colleague who would like to revert to using WinNT 4.0 on her
laptop. This is the OS with which it was delivered, but a local computer
expert installed WinNT 2000 as a learning experience when the computer came
through the door a few weeks ago, and he isn't available/helpful in
restoring the original configuration.

I'm far more familiar with Macs & the MacOS than PCs & WinNT, but I've heard
sufficient horror stories about de-installing software (particularly the OS)
that I like to minimize the risk (if I can't avoid the problem altogether).
Anyway, what options do participants in the forum recommend? I can imagine
them ranging for re-initializing the disk and starting installation from
scratch to setting up a dual-boot configuration (is this possible).

In case it matters one of the motives is to make this laptop
similar/identical to others being used at remote locales on a common
project.

Any and all ideas are welcome. At a minimum I'll learn a little.

Thanks.
