[WinMac] Virtual Directory Question...

I just inherited an appleshare network running network administrator
toolkit. There are about 50 machines connected to this server, which is
appleshare server version 3 and ANAT version 2. (I know, I know. The
upgrades are already ordered.)

This is a high school environment. The local college recently got a grant
to pay some of its instructors to mentor/tutor ours. Much of the
communication between the parties will be electronic.

To that end, I'd like to set up a web server on the Appleshare server (v. 3
has none built in.) that students can save their work to in HTML so that the
mentors will be able to read it online. My plan is to create a workgroup
hand-in folder in at ease for workgroups and select that directory as the
"root directory" of the web site. In fact, I have already done all of this
using netpresenz. (Obviously, we're a little behind the times, but we're
working on it.)

Our school, unfortunately, uses an NT4 server as its "outside" web server.
I understand the process of creating "virtual directories" between different
NT servers so that a shared portion of one machine will show up as a
subdirectory of the web server.

Is it possible to create a virtual directory of an HFS volume residing on a
Mac Server (where else?)? IF so, how is it done? Will newer versions of
these software packages make it possible if it's not now?

Finally, I know that a much simpler approach would be to simply migrate the
at ease workgroup data server from the Mac-based Appleshare server to the
Appleshare server on our NT4 box. However, though I can mount the
appleshare volume manually using the chooser, I can't seem to get at ease to
automatically mount this volume. I believe it's because NT asks again for a
password after the chooser name and password dialog. I have no idea where
this second password dialog comes from, but it is almost certainly the
problem.

Any ideas about this? Anybody have experience with ANAT and Windows NT4?

Thanx in advance for any help you might be able to provide.
