        Easy: The Asante 10/100 PCI NIC will do exactly what you want. It will
cost you about $40; and it has drivers for NT, 95/98, Mac, NetWare, etc...

        If you want to gamble a bit on the Mac side, you can use a $15 D-Link
DFE-530TX and use the Asante Mac drivers, since they share the same DEC
21x4x chipset... But it WILL work on the x86 and Alpha platforms nonetheless.
