Doug,

If the printer is managed through an NT print queue, what happens if you use
the NT system to send a test page? Is that OK? If it is, then the problem
is "upstream" from the NT print server. If it's not and the printer is
connected via the parallel port, I wonder if the cable/connectors could be
bad. My ASCII table doesn't indicate that "a" and "v' differ by just a
single bit in their codes, but maybe a couple of lines are shorted.
