[WinMac] OFF-TOPIC: UMax 900 (Storm Surge MLB) fan tachometer support

        Good evening!

This one is slightly off-topic, but perhaps someone knows the answer.
While reconditioning a UMax 900 "Storm Surge" machine, I noticed the front
& rear case fans had two leads, but the MLB (motherboard) has standard 3
pin polarized fan connectors... Which I assume is for tachometer input.

My question: Does the firmware support tachometer input? And if so, can
MacOS 8.6 accept the "hook" and report it? I replaced the two fans (since
they were dusty) with tach feedback fans, in case this is indeed true...
Kinda like chicken soup: Can't hurt, just may help! :)

        Yours truly,
        Daniel L. Schwartz,
