Rose,

I'm familiar with the PC Compatibility card and I have installed a NW5
server but unfortunately I haven't had to deal with both together. I can
make some guesses.

The obvious first question is did you run SetNet after setting up the PC?
That has to be done BEFORE the restart after changing ANY PC network
Control Panel settings. That could screw up both OS connections.

2nd... What client are you using on the PC? I know NW5 doesn't like the MS
Netware client.

Hmm, after checking my Novell manual I'd guess the real answer could be...

The PC Card comes with Novell's ODI drivers on the Apple disc. If they were
working with your 3.2 server then they should be in the NWCLIENT directory.
SetNet only recognizes ODI if it's in that directory. The NW5 Win95 client
installs NDIS drivers! I doubt the old Apple NDIS network drivers on the PC
Compatibility disc will work correctly with the new client. BUT your
Netware 5 Installation manual has a note on page 211(manual dated July
1998) where it says "...if you have ODI drivers currently installed, these
drivers are still supported."

I'd interpret that to mean "don't mess with it." Since you can't get any
updates from Apple I'd guess you should update only the Mac side clients
and leave the working 3.2 ODI clients alone. Possibly you'll have to leave
the Macs on the old client as well if Prosoft's stuff somehow screws up
SetNet.

Lastly be sure the NW5 server is accepting both IP & IPX to enable the old
clients.

Worst case you have to run those workstations through the old 3.2 server
onto the LAN.

I'd recommend checking Apple's Tech Exchange (PC Compatibility category)
and the MacDos Card Archive <http://rad.hcf.jhu.edu/~mdcard/> for someone
who has dealt with this problem already.
