[WinMac] Print spooling off an NT Server

Hi all,

apparently, Win95/98 PCs can't directly print to Apple LaserWriters
(although WinNT workstations can), so usually we have a WinNT server to do
the job (connect to the printers and share them across the network).

Ironically, both our NT workstations and Macs (who don't need the
functionality) can see the printers shared on the NT server, but none of
our Win95 PC (who do need to functionality), can! (Although they can see
the server and shared folders OK.)

The server is running NT 4 SP3, and was able to do the job OK a couple of
weeks ago (before the HD died and we re-installed it on the current
machine). Pretty much everything else works OK, just not the print
spooling.

I don't think applying SP5 will solve this problem since it worked fine on
the old machine (identical hardware to the current one) with SP3. Could it
be that going straight from SP1 to SP3 without first applying SP2 is the
problem? (There was a thread recently about how the service packs are
cumulative.)

If so, how does one apply SP2 retroactively once SP3 has already been applied?

If not, are there any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Cheers,
