I've not seen anyone address this issue either, but I can tell you that in
any instance of it occurring here, NT was not involved. There are several
dozen HP 4m+ and such around & maybe 4 or 5 in a year will forget it's
AppleTalk name. There are two however which have forgotten their names
twice or more often in the last 12 months.

It's not just the AppleTalk name either... people using IBM more or less
compatibles are also not able to print to them at that same time, but I
don't know if they were using JetDirect or a Novell queue.

My bet is something in the JetDirect card itself, responding to some bad
info it received over the line. I dunno - I just change the name back, tell
people to re-select it in the Chooser & go on with their lives. Would be
nice to know why though.
