I hate so say this... I agree with Dan. :)

As the main support person for a handfull (25-30) daily and weekly
newspapers.
I cannot shut down operations at any time. I have to work either evenings or
weekends.
There are VERY few situations that require immediate resolution. In such
cases I''ll also setup a spare to take the slack and allow production to
continue.

As for the platform wars we all love, I use and support Linux, Solaris,
Netware, SCO, MacOS 7.x - 8.x and dos, Win 3.x, Win 9x, NTWS, and NT Server.
They all have their pros and cons. I just installed OS X Server in one
machine in my office , I'll see what kind of price/performance/stability it
gives me. (looks good so far, I'm sure the UPS problem will be resolved
shortly.)
for now the leader is Linux. (ONLY FOR *MY* APPLICATION - Macintosh file
services,no OPI -YMMV)
