Dear Theresa,
Go into the System Folder, open up the Preferences Folder, and throw out
the AppleShare Prep file; then reboot. Also, be careful that you run the
latest version of Disk First Aid after each crash... After a crash, the
disk file structure becomes corrupted, causing the Finder to be more
crash-prone... Setting you on a downward spiral.
