[WinMac] MS Help app

I am an end user in a large firm (judge for yourselves by my email address!)

The IT people have made a small database that runs under Win95 using the
Microsoft Help application.
Microsoft also make a Help app for Mac OS

Is there any way I can port the source data for this app from PC to mac
side? I have already hacked the type and creator (using the excellent "A
better finder - types and creator" contextual menu plug-in) to the
appropriate MS Help for Mac settings.

When I double click the converted file, I get an error saying "This requires
a newer version of Microsoft Help" and it won't run.

1. Is there a way I can hack the file to run on Mac OS? or
2. Is there a newer version of MS Help for Mac OS out there (I am running
Office 98 and Outlook for Exchange server so I imagine my versions are quite
current)

Thanks

Hamish Blair
