Alex,

DAVE Sharing is a service that uses TCP/IP the entire time that it is
running. If you turn off DAVE Sharing using the DAVE Sharing control
panel, or if you disable the DAVE Sharing items (DAVE Sharing, DAVE
Sharing Extension, and Shutdown DAVE Sharing) using the Extensions
Manager, you'll probably not have this problem. If you continue to have
this problem, please let our Technical Support Staff know.

Also, DAVE v2.1 is a free update from our website that you should
download to fix numerous bugs (including DAVE Sharing initializing TCP/IP
when it is configured 'Off').
