Darron,

Hopefully these side comments about Apple history won't hurt the list .
. .

. . . but they are off the "networking" topic so go on to the next
message if you are in a hurry

. . . and please forgive the intrusion.

Thanks for your comment, Darron. I did not know that. Truly, Apple's
story has been one of seeming miracles.

And thanks for giving Amelio credit for something. I, also, was
thinking more along the lines of his having some good CEO capabilities .
. .

I'm glad Jobs came back . . . and by a miracle of coincidence it was in
almost a direct reversal of the way he left. Jobs hired the man
(Spindler?) that came in and fired him. Jobs came in as Amelio's man
and fired Amelio (sort of) -- but gave him a very good severance.

I'm not sure Amelio didn't have something along these lines in mind
anyway. I still think he did some very necessary good for Apple at the
time. But I respect your insider comments.

Now if only Jobs can work Apple back to a higher pinnacle than it
started at . . . and the Mac faithful can live happily ever after . . .
sharing alike with their Wintel brothers and sisters (I am overdoing it
a bit . . . in fun . . . ;).
