[WinMac] MS Outlook for Exchange Server v 8.1

I have been following the posts regarding Calendars for some time - puzzled
about people who say they can only see an "in box" type format - when
others, including myself, could clearly see a diary style format - similar
to the Windows version.
Now I find myself without the calendar view and just the in-box style view.
Also: the Synchronise folders command from the tools menu has disappeared.
What gives?
I think the cause of this was trashing some pref files (I still have a DAVE
problem - where the finder hangs although I can move my mouse) including an
Outlook pref file (that seemed quite old). Unfortunately I emptied the
trash before fully checking that Outlook worked.
I still call on Microsoft to make Outlook for Mac fully functional as the
Windows equivalent - including the use of custom forms (which I guess are VB
based... 'nuff said)
Any ideas?
