RE: [WinMac] Mac Outlook Client to Exchange Calendar?

Let me describe what I do and see using the SP2 Outlook client.

If I open the Outlook client and log into the Exchange server, I can then
select "Calendar" from the Outlook Bar or by using a icon which I added to
my main Outlook toolbar. I then see a fully-functional appointment book
with a To Do list and various, selectable view formats. This is the mode I
normally use, keeping track of my own schedule.

I can also "Open: Others's Appointment Book". This produces another appt.
book page in which I can review my colleagues schedule. Whether that
colleague is a Mac or Windows user, I can only view existing appointments or
events. I cannot directly add to or alter what is there. Since Calendar
allows the owner to set access permissions, I cannot determine whether my
inability to change another's calendar is because of a cross-platform
compatibility issue or because they are holding their Appt. Books privately.
Since it's the same for Mac and Windows users, I'll assume the latter
explanation.

Within the Outlook Calendar Options, there is an "Automatically accept
meeting requests" setting which is unselected in our default configuration.
Therefore, when I attempt to schedule a meeting, I don't see the change in
the attendees' Appt. Book until they receive the meeting announcement and
accept the schedule.

Does that make sense.

There are lot's of Calendar options I'm not using, so maybe I'm missing the
point of some of the questions being asked.
